Sometimes there’s nothing more comforting that starting the day with a warming bowl of porridge (or oatmeal if you are so inclined :P). These Golden Oats with Cinnamon Apple from Rachel at Flora and Flow are no exception. Using our Golden Quench, provides a beautiful yellow colour to the porridge and boosts the nutritional benefits due to the turmeric.

In a small pot, combine chopped apple, slivered almonds, cinnamon, water, citrus juice and rice malt syrup.
Cook over a low-medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
Add 1/4 cup rolled oats and 1/2 cup of Golden Quench milk to the apples.
Stir for 10 minutes, or until the oats reach a nice, thick consistency.
Add the remaining 1/4 cup of Golden Quench milk and stir through to loosen the porridge.
Pour into a bowl and enjoy as is, or with some fresh fruit.
