The BEST Satay Sauce

Satay sauce is one of our all time favourites, however the stuff you get from the shop and restaurants is usually packed full of hidden nasties. Our Favourite Foodie, Emerson Cooks, has shared with us his go to recipe for the most delicious satay sauce. It’s peanuty, sweet, salty and delicious! It’s also 100% GLUTEN FREE! Made using our Organic Tamari and Tahini it is a rich, smooth and super tasty sauce that can be used in so many different ways 🙂
Preheat oven to 180C. Place peanuts on a roasting tray and roast for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, pan fry the eshallot, garlic and ginger with some olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
Add all the ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until smooth (or chunky) and serve over everything!!
Making mini pizza using store bought pitta bread, spoon over satay sauce top with crispy tofu, veggies, cashews, coriander and more satay sauce - delicious!
