During these uncertain times we are spending more and more time at home. Schools are closed, or are closing and governments are encouraging everyone to go out as little as possible. As we all self-isolate as much as possible and our routines change it’s important to find joy in the little things. We can use this time to learn new skills, spend more time doing things we love and connecting with the people we live with.
We have always used food as a tool to bring people together. Whether that’s baking a gift for someone or enjoying delicious home cooked meals for things like birthdays and Christmas. Food helps us to connect and build a sense of community.
Self-Isolation and the current climate is not a reason to stop doing these things. So, put your apron on, get the kids involved and let’s bake! Let’s all learn new recipes, make new things and spend time with our families at home and in the kitchen. It will be a fun activity and the end result will be a delicious home made treat, it’s a win win!
