Spiced Quinoa Porridge
Perfect for those cold winter mornings, this gently spiced, velvety breakfast will help wake you up and give you enough energy to get through the day. And, with the creamy taste of Activated Almond Milk, this healthy and nutritious porridge is so delicious it’ll have you leaping out of bed in the morning!
Place the quinoa flakes, almond milk and water in a saucepan and soak overnight. This soaking process helps activate the quinoa, making it more digestible and nutritious.
Bring the soaked mixture to the boil, stirring occasionally. Once boiled reduce to a low heat, cover and simmer for approximately 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The longer you cook the quinoa the creamier it will become.
To serve spoon the porridge into a bowl, sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with a little Rice Malt Syrup or go crazy with your favourite toppings like we did!
