Gooey, chocolatey, moorish? Sound like the perfect brownie? The brownies tick all the boxes, plus are bursting with nutrients and a secret ingredient! Can you guess what it is?
Preheat the oven to 170 celsius and line a baking tray with baking paper.
Add the black beans, coconut oil, rice malt syrup, maple syrup, vanilla and chia seeds to a food processor and blitz until smooth and combined.
Add the cacao, almond meal and baking soda to the food processor and mix until combined
Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking tray. Top with chocolate chips and bake in the oven for 35-30 minutes, depending on how gooey you want the brownies to be.
* To make a chia egg simply combine 1 Tbsp chia seeds and 2.5 Tbsp water = a chia egg. Let this mixture sit for a while until it thickens and coagulates and used in place of an egg.
