Turkish Delight Snack Bars
Turkish Delight Snack BarsPrep Time: 10 minutes
This school lunch box friendly recipe is another amazing snack from this months Favourite Foodie, Rachel, from Flora and Flow. Being nut free, they make for a wonderful school treat for the kids and being packed full of oats they are also super filling! They are so good you’ll be taking them with you to work as well!
Blitz the rolled oats and cocoa powder in a blender and pour into a mixing bowl.
Put rice malt syrup and maple syrup in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Add to the oats mix.
Pour in your rosewater and sprinkle in the rose petals.
Mix and combine ingredients with a spatula or spoon. The mixture is very pliable so divide the mixture in two, and roll out each half into a long snake. Flatten the snake slightly, and use a knife to cut the bars into inch long pieces.
You can store these in an airtight container in the fridge, but I personally prefer to keep them out on the bench - it kept the texture a bit softer. These are great as a lunchbox snack, as they’re nut free and very filling.
