Nut Butter filled Chocolate DatesThese nut butter filled dates are super simple, the perfect alternative to a chocolate truffle and a healthier alternative to store bought chocolate. The nut butter filled centre is a wonderful surprise when you bite into them and provides a fantastic balance for the sweetness of the date and chocolate. Ingredients
InstructionsStart by pitting the dates. Using fingers or a knife cut down one side of the date and open to reveal the pip, make sure the other side of the date is still attached so you create a kind of pocket. Fill the pitted dates with about 1/2 -1 tsp of nut butter, depending how big the date is. Once filled with nut butter, sandwich back together and place on a tray. Freeze the stuffed dates for about 30 minutes before moving onto the next step. Once the dates have frozen a little, melt the white chocolate. Dip the chilled dates into the melted white chocolate and turn around a few times with a fork to coat evenly. Transfer onto a tray lined with baking paper. Repeat for the remaining dates. Drizzle melted milk chocolate over the white chocolate then place the coated dates into the fridge to set completely. Enjoy!
