Fruit Roll Ups

These fruit roll ups are so simple using the goodness of the whole fruit to provide a nutritious and healthy snack for you and your kids. Whip them up on a Sunday afternoon and pop them in your kinds lunch box for a homemade snack to enjoy at school – you’ll have the other parents begging you for the recipe 😛

Apple & Cinnamon
4 apples
, grated
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp Pureharvest Rice Malt Syrup 1kg
Strawberry
1 punnet Strawberries
1 tbsp Pureharvest 100% AUSTRALIAN RAW HONEY

For the Apple & Cinnamon Flavour.
Grate apples and place in a medium sized saucepan with a cup of water. Bring to the boil then reduce heat and cook for approximately 10 minutes.
Transfer the apple mixture to a bowl, add Rice Malt Syrup (optional) and cinnamon and blitz using a stick blender until smooth.
Line a tray with baking paper and pour the mixture onto the tray. Spread evenly.

For the Strawberry Flavour
Wash the strawberries and remove the tops.
Place in a medium sized bowl and using a stick blender blitz until smooth. Add honey to taste.
Line a tray with baking paper and pour the mixture onto the tray. Spread evenly.
Place both trays in the oven on the lowest temperate your oven can go, approximately 120°C to dehydrate. Depending on the level of moisture, this can take between 2 – 6 hours.
When dehydrated, the fruit should be dry to touch and no longer sticky.
Once dehydrated, slice up and enjoy. Will last for approx. 1 week in airtight container in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer.
